Takeaway Trainer straps easily around your leg, just above the center of your right knee. Takeaway Trainer has an angled design that helps set the correct angle of the shaft of your golf club and also helps show the correct position of your hands at your set-up. Takeaway Trainer's 3" elastic strap fastens with Velcro, and the underneath side is made of Tuff Tek material, to ensure a snug fit. (Left handed golfers, Takeaway Trainer is reversible.)
The widest end of Takeaway Trainer is positioned down. Takeaway Trainer's angled design helps set the shaft of your club in the proper position.
Takeaway Trainer forces you to start your backswing by pushing your hands straight back, not allowing you to pull your hands too far inside. Takeaway Trainer keeps you aware of your lower body movement, which is another important part of a sound golf swing. Takeaway Trainer should not move during this takeaway position. (Concept is to teach you to start a straight takeaway and to make you turn your upper body correctly.)
Takeaway Trainer shows you the correct position of your lower body during this position of your backswing. Takeaway Trainer should be over your right foot. Takeaway Trainer starts you on the correct swing path, which you will retain during your entire backswing.
Takeaway Trainer shows you the correct position of your lower body at the completion of your backswing. Takeaway Trainer should always stay within the outer edge of your right foot during your backswing.
Takeaway Trainer gives you a target to aim at during the start of your downswing. Start your downswing by pulling your hands towards the right side of Takeaway Trainer as if you were trying to hit it with the back of your left hand. In this position Takeaway Trainer should be over your right foot. (Concept is to teach you to start on an inside plane on your downswing.)
Takeaway Trainer gives you a guide for the correct position of your hands and your lower body just before contact with the ball. Your hands should fall behind Takeaway Trainer without touching it and Takeaway Trainer should point to the ball.
Takeaway Trainer shows you the correct position just after contact with the ball. Your hands should be directly overTakeaway Trainer as your body turns towards the target. In this position Takeaway Trainer should point to the toes of your left foot.
Takeaway Trainer is a guide, which points to the target at the finish of your swing. Takeaway Trainer should align with your right foot as you finish your swing.
For best results begin practicing with Takeaway trainer in a SLOW swing speed WITHOUT a ball and gradually increase to a NORMAL swing speed WITH a ball.
